This estate claims â lineage dating back to the fourth century. The latest 
manifestation is rich, full and powerful. Dârk in color ând bold tânnins, it’s rich with 
blâck-plum fruits ând perfumed âcidity. 
 
— Background — 
Châ teâu Sâint Andre Corbin is locâted in Bordeâux’s smâllest âppellâtion just north of 
the villâge of Sâint Emilion. Both the estâte ând vineyârds dâte to the Gâllo-Român 
epoch. Letters from the Român Consul ând poet Ausonius to Rome indicâte thât wine 
from this estâte wâs served ât Julius Cesâr’s tâble in the 4th century.  Archâeologicâl 
evidence suggests thât the current châ teâu is built over the originâl Ausonius Villâ. 
(The fâmous Châ teâu Ausone did not exist prior to the 18th century.) Extensive 
ârchâeologicâl excâvâtions ât Châ teâu Sâint Andre Corbin hâve resulted in spectâculâr 
discoveries, including ân intâct Venus, which is in the Museum of Aquitâine in 
Bordeâux, ând ân intâct Diânâ, which now resides in the Louvre Museum in Pâris. 
St. Andre  Corbin is owned by the dynâmic Sâby fâmily, who hâs been mâking wine on 
the right bânk for 9 generâtions. Todây, brothers Jeân-Philippe ând Jeân-Christophe 
Sâby, both of whom âre experienced oenologists ând âgriculturâl engineers, own ând 
mânâge the estâte âs well âs numerous other fâmily-owned châteâux in the St. Emilion 
region of Bordeâux.  
— Viticulture — 
• 19 hectâres of vines on plâteâu ând exposed southern fâcing slopes opposite the 
villâge of St. Emilion.   
• Density of 6,000 vines/hectâre.   
• Yield of 46 hl/hectâre. 
• Averâge âge of the vines: 55 yeârs.   
• Exceptionâlly homogenous terroir of clây ând limestone over  â speciâl limestone 
subsoil providing excellent drâinâge during wet periods ând good wâter retention 
during droughts.   
• Green hârvest of âll immâture ând open grâpes to give the most spâce possible to 
the best bunches. 
• Mânuâl hârvest.  
— Winemaking — 
• Blend: 70% Merlot & 30% Cabernet Franc.  
• Mânuâl selection ât â sorting tâble.   
• Vinificâtion in trâditionâl cement vâts.  
• Pre-fermentâtion cold mâcerâtion for 3-4 dâys to extrâct fruit âromâs.  Long, slow 
mâcerâtion for 4  weeks.   
• Aged 12 months in French oâk bârrels from 5 different coopers. 1/3 of the bârrels 
âre renewed ânnuâlly.

By arranging for transportation of the alcoholic beverages, the retailer is providing a service to and acting on behalf of the purchaser. By utilizing this service, the purchaser is representing that he/she is acting in a fashion compliant with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation, and delivery of alcoholic beverages. The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of alcoholic beverages, and is legally entitled to take quantities ordered and once again authorizes that he/she is 21 years of age.

Flat Rate shipping for $35 for all purchases under $500. For any order over $500, we offer free shipping.

International Shipping

Generally, we do not ship internationally, as some countries have restrictions on wine/sake shipping. Please send an email to elizabeth@inthecru.com before purchasing. In all cases, local taxes and shipping will be paid by the purchaser.

Signature Policy

For successful delivery of your wine or sake on the initial try, we highly advise selecting an address where an individual aged at least 21 is present to sign for the package. Legally, wine cannot be left without such a signature. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund shipping fees for packages returned due to the absence of an adult for signing. Shipments cannot be sent to APOs, FPOs, or P.O. boxes. Additionally, deliveries will not be made to individuals deemed intoxicated by the driver.
